1/23/04 Letter From Aycan Demirhan '96-'97 Exchange Student From Turkey

| Dear members of Two Rivers Rotary Club. Greetings from New York City, where I am reminded of Wisconsin winters these days. Hello again to those who remember me, your '96-'97 exchange student from Turkey; and very nice to finally meet the new members since the summer of '97. The first stop on my journey after Two Rivers was Charlottesville to attend the University of Virginia, where I majored in economics and psychology. Since graduation, I have been working in finance in New York City. I will be attending Harvard Business School starting fall '04. Beyond that, who knows where the wind may take me. I wanted to write and tell you briefly about the fruits of your labor- none of what I listed above would have been possible if you had decided not to sponsor me almost 8 years ago. I am enclosing (Aycan asked that it not be published), the short essay I wrote for my business school application that dealt with my exchange student year.
