9/16/07 from Michael L. Mann - We had a good day in Chicago yesterday with the sailing Rotarians.  The students really had a good time meeting new friends in Chicago.  A tiring day but all agreed it was pretty awsome!!  I have enclosed a few pictures for you enjoyment.
9/6/07 by Sarah Gallagher- Here is Lui (self Photo) at his first American football game - we had fun and he is really quite good with the camera - got lots of nice pictures. (TR JV vs Kiel - Win - 22-0).       •He recognized several of his classmates and then we went to Dairy Queen, where a few more classmates walked in who I knew and introduced and they all gave the universal teenage head bob and a "hey." And yes, this is not healthy food 8^), although I tried to explain we do not eat like this each night.       •He also was fascinated by the gopher that kept popping up next to the bleachers-had not seen that, and, hard to believe, we saw no deer on 151 out of Valders (usually there are so many there).       •He had lunch with my son today who sits at a table with a mix of upperclassman and those pesky freshmen. Lui likes ketchup - not sure about BBQ sauce. Favorite class right now is gym - the gym teacher, Dahl (sp?) is quite nice and he played baseball for the first time and the teacher told him he was good. The glove was awkward for him, but he was pleased with the results.       •He smiled and said that when he says "what?" people tend to speak louder rather than slower, but each day he is picking up words. Teachers and students have been nice to him, and he understands it will take time to "fit in."
